synopsisTSUKA, a cyborg created in the image of an attractive Japanese woman, mid twenties speeds through the darkened alleys of futuristic Tokyo. On a mission to deliver her creator, KISSAKI’S, masterpiece program, Tsuka encounters a renegade mob of machine-hating LUDDITES. Identifying her as a machine, the Luddites draw weapons and move to attack.
HA, a steely Samurai in his late twenties witnesses the commotion. Impressed by Tsuka’s fearlessness in the face of danger, he interrupts the Luddites’ advance and introduces himself. Despite Ha’s proof that he is human, the Luddites attack. Ha and Tsuka work together to defeat their attackers in a battle where Tsuka narrowly escapes with her life. Rattled by her brush with death, Tsuka wishes the Luddites could accept her identity as human and leave her in peace. The two become fast friends as Ha accompanies Tsuka to deliver the program.
SAYA, the dangerously alluring ruler of Tokyo’s technological underground agrees to help refine Kissaki’s program. Though a long-ago drug overdose has gifted her with an unparalleled ability with numbers, it also threatens to shatter her sanity. Saya is consumed with her efforts to cure her increasing madness.
As Ha and Tsuka’s friendship develops, Tsuka begins a search for the ancient secrets of Keinmoundo-- “Mastering the Mind.” She believes that if she can achieve this heightened state it will prove to everyone that she is human, and allow her to live in peace. Her search brings her to a series of dead ends, including a drunken Monk who spouts riddles that she cannot understand. Frustrated, beaten, she returns to her master.
Working on Kissaki’s program, Saya discovers its potential for achieving Keinmoundo and “Mastering the Mind.” Seeing the program as a cure for her increasing madness she completes the refinements and makes a copy for herself. Returning the original to Kissaki, Saya prepares to use the program on herself.
As Tsuka’s identity crisis takes her to the edge of despair, Kissaki, in a show of fatherly affection offers to use his program to answer all her questions and give her Keinmoundo. Tsuka agrees, but little does she know, Ha’s aged master, KOSHINOGI, has sworn to protect the secrets of Keinmoundo. With Ha bound by his duty to serve, and Tsuka by her need for identity, the two friends are forced to duel for her right to attain Keinmoundo.
